On this site I whole-heartedly recommend various books and materials for becoming a better ukulele player.
Some links are affiliate links and help support my efforts in the form of a few pennies here and there.
Thank you for your support.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- String numbers: A=1, E=2, C=3 & G=4
- Right hand finger lettering: P=Thumb & I=Index
- Each of the fingerstyle patterns below is performed with an alternating thumb and index motion in either an I P or P I pattern.
- Each of these patterns travels away from the starting string and loops around to come back to it.
CHALLENGE
Earn your Fingerstyle Level 3 patch by demonstrating two of the following fingerstyle patterns (these patterns work well in both 3/4 and 6/8 time signatures). You may use a song or songs you are working on to demonstrate the patterns, or one of the chord sequences you’ve learned so far. Demonstrated patterns should keep a consitent beat with no noticeable pauses between chords. Patterns may be played straight or swung.
